Our Diabetes & Cholesterol Test Package is an affordable package that groups together the tests required to observe the blood sugar and cholesterol levels of the body for screening and/or regular monitoring.
WHAT DOES THE DIABETES & CHOLESTEROL TEST PACKAGE INCLUDE:
- Fasting Blood Sugar
This test looks at the amount of glucose (sugar) in the blood.
It requires the person to fast for 8-10 hours before the blood is taken for testing. Fasting is needed to ensure that minerals, fats, and other nutrients in the body will not affect the reading of results.
- HbA1c
This test can show one’s blood sugar levels from 2 to 3 months back to see how the body is managing the sugar it intakes over time. Doctors mainly review the results of this test to understand the best way to manage diabetes, if one is diagnosed to have it.
- Lipid Profile
The Lipid Profile consists of five (5) tests — Triglycerides, Total Cholesterol, High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL), Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL), and Very Low-Density Lipoprotein (VLDL).
These tests give a comprehensive overview of your cholesterol levels to detect abnormalities, if any.
